SoCal kid, from Highland, but in San Diego studying at AiSD. I'm not holding back from making my dreams come true, I'm an artist and I'm going to show it. I wont ever forget where I came from, for it made me who I am today.

Jayma’s fantastic acting aside, this scene made me SO ANGRY that Emma even felt like she had to say that, to explain something so simple to him. And Will is just being so fucking condescending telling Emma what she can and can’t handle when she came up to him so upset that he didn’t even want to be with her at all, and instead of reassuring her he lists the reasons why he can’t get married to her specifically?

This scene made me cry :-| And then their next scene after this, everything’s fine despite a PRETTY HUGE FALLING OUT.

JFC, why does this show feel the need to sacrifice every single one of their female characters at the alter of teaching douchey straight white dudes a life lesson that then makes them the noble good guy.
Because, FUCK YOU.  Just fuck you and fuck everything.  FUCK THE FUCK OFF.
I’m seriously going to make a list of all the times the female characters have been thrown under a bus for a dude.  Because this is literally the only thing this show does with any consistency or continuity.

This pissed me off so much because Jayma’s acting was incredible and this scene was so honestly painful for me to watch because Emma’s side of things was done so well. I don’t understand how they can simultaneously get something so right and so wrong in the same scene. Like honestly, this scene and Emma’s scene with the therapist in BTW and some of her stuff in Asian F was trufax awesome in terms of dealing with the realities of mental illness and the fear and the stigma. The fact that they could take a scene where Emma’s expressing her very real fear that something beyond her control will take away what she wants in life and do it so well and then just shit all over it with Will basically being like, “Yep, those are all the reasons you’re totally crazy and marrying you is going to be hard for me, Will Schuester, because I am the important part here!”

EXACTLY.  What genuinely makes these things frustrating is that they do handle parts of the female character storylines well and have these amazing actresses, but then they weigh them down with such gross problematic bullshit when they drag the dudes in.

That Emma/Shannon/Sue scene in the teacher’s lounge was such a tease. Because it was like, “Oh hey! Adult women speaking to each other! Oh my gosh!” But then, of course, the entire conversation, literally the entire conversation, was about men. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
